Michael Craig Scott

Michael Craig Scott, of Florissant, Missouri, passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 36. Born on September 7, 1988, in St. Louis, Missouri, Michael was the beloved son of Craig and Elizabeth (Lisa) Scott (née Parks). Michael had a special connection with animals, especially dogs, earning him the affectionate title of "the dog whisperer." He would often greet neighborhood dogs by name, even if he didn't know their owners' names. Michael loved the restaurant business, cherishing the camaraderie and the joy of serving delicious food and drinks. He took great pleasure in feeding people and seeing them enjoy themselves, finding fulfillment in one successful day after another. He was especially proud of the restaurant's success each year during the St. Patrick's Day parade, where his meticulous behind-the-scenes preparation ensured everything flowed seamlessly. A gifted chef, Michael's love language was cooking. Despite not being professionally trained, he had a natural talent for creating phenomenal meals from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients. Crafting homemade pasta dough to create distinctive noodles was a particular favorite. While working in Chesterfield, Michael's culinary talents were highlighted by daily 'off-the-menu' specials he crafted at the restaurant. These dishes were always extraordinary and in high demand. Michael took immense pride in his hometown. He often boasted about the charming local family-owned restaurants and the incredible St. Louis Zoo. Michael's passion for St. Louis sports was evident in his unwavering support for the St. Louis Blues and Cardinals. He attended numerous Blues games, including the 2019 playoffs when the Blues won the Stanley Cup for the first time. When it was Ryan O’Reilly’s day with the Stanley Cup in St. Louis, Michael was ecstatic to be given the opportunity to attend the celebration. Michael cherished that day and the opportunity to meet some of his favorite players, Ryan O'Reilly, Jordan Binnington, and #1 fan Laila Anderson. Michael also enjoyed tailgating with his sister Katie during the St. Louis Cardinals' home opener for many years. A kind and compassionate man, Michael was always ready to help those in need. Whether pushing a car when someone ran out of gas, defending someone from being hurt, or offering food and shelter to those less fortunate, Michael's generosity knew no bounds. He welcomed everyone without judgment or strings attached and shared whatever he had. Michael was a joy to have as a son, a wonderful brother, and a cherished friend. His love was unconditional, and if you earned it, you had it forever. He was very close to and loved his family including his aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. His warmth, talent, and enthusiasm for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Michael is survived by his parents, Craig and Lisa Scott; his sisters Kristen Korbesmeyer (Andrew), Katie Juengst (Joey), and Kelley Kuhlmann (Ryan); his nephews Alex Korbesmeyer, Kaden Juengst, Tristan Kuhlmann, and Noah Kuhlmann. His aunts and uncles: Pam Dempewolf, Clare Smith (Ed), David Parks (Kim), Lee Parks III, and Michael Parks (Tracey). His cousins: Andy Dempewolf, Matthew and Mary Coello (Allison Wilburn, Charles Coello, and Daphne Coello), Natalie and Steve Griffin (Leigha Riley, Lindsay Griffin, and Levi Griffin), Anthony and Lexus Northway (Remington Northway, Delilah Northway, and Monroe Northway), Emma Proskey, David Jr., and Sarah Parks (David Parks III), Cherie and David Irwin (Ian Irwin), Heather and Dalton Mason, Ashley Parks (Kane McBride, Kingston McBride, and Kenadi McBride), Lee Parks IV (Izzabella Parks, Jonathon Parks, Avaleigh Parks, and Landon Parks), Rhiannon Parks, Eric Parks, and Gera Parks, Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents Lee R Parks Jr. and Irmgard K Parks (nee Tachlinski), Roma L. Scott, and Iona L. Scott (nee Raasch), his aunt Dona L. Coello (nee Scott), and Uncle Charles Coello. In lieu of flowers, make a donation in honor of Michael Scott to the Five Acres Animal Shelter, 1099 Pralle Lane, St. Charles MO 63303. Visitation will be held Memorial Park Chapel at 1:00 pm followed by a 1:30pm Celebration of Life Service.
