Randall M Lockette

Randall Marvin Lockette was born on December 11, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, the seventh of eleven children to Gwendolyn and Ernest Lockette. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Cassandra, Michael, Camille and Robert. Randal was educated by the Saint Louis Public School System, graduating from Sumner High School in 1972. A star basketball player, his athletic abilities earned him a scholarship to Oberlin College where he graduated in 1976. After graduation, Randall married his high school sweetheart, Denise Smith. To this union, they welcomed their son, Randall II, into the world. Though their marriage later ended, Randall remained a devoted father to his son, Randy, who lovingly cared for him until his death. Randall's professional journey was marked by dedication, hard work and success. He began his career at Southwest Railroad as a sales representative before joining Maritz Motivational Company. At Maritz, Randall excelled as a writer and later as a salesperson, earning accolades including membership in the Million Dollar Sales Club and coveted vacation to Australia. Emboldened by his success, Randall took a leap of faith and started his own business, Data First Electricians. Though the venture ultimately did not succeed, he later found his calling as an insurance representative with Humana Insurance Company, where he provided personalized professional service to his clients. But Randall was more than his professional achievements; he was a loving, caring and patient father, a supportive brother, and a wise, caring uncle. He was a man who readily extended a helping hand, offered sound advice, and shared his many resources. His commitment to personal growth was evident by his membership in support groups, where he often lent support to others on their journey. Randall's life was a tapestry of love, hard work, and tenacity. He leaves behind to honor his memory his cherished son, Randall II (Randy); his uncle Joseph Buck; his beloved siblings Alexis, Beverly, Karen, Vivian, James (Tracy) and Richard (Monica); sisters-in-law Gwendolyn and Christine; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friend who were blessed by his presence. This celebration for Randall M. Lockette is a testament to his remarkable life. His dazzling smile, persuasive persona, and generous spirit will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, dear Randall. Your journey on earth may have ended, but your spirit will live on with the Lord and in the hearts of all you touched.
