Tim Cobillas

Tim Cobillas age 74 of Florissant, Missouri. Tim Cobillas, born May 12, 1938 in St. Louis, Mo. to Bernard Cobillas & Lillian Houchen. He was the eighth child of seven siblings: Dorothy, Bernard, Steven, Victor, Tonia, Joe & Charlie. He lived in St Louis his entire life. He spent 4 years in the Navy on the US Essex and spoke often about his travels while enlisted. He was very proud when his grandson, Randy who followed in his footsteps joined the Navy as well. Tim never met a stranger! He loved to fellowship and joke around, which apparently is a “Cobillas” trait, and he was very proud of his Philipino heritage and his family growing up. In 1960 Tim met Janet Lorene Aubuchon through a blind date and was love struck from that moment on Janet and Tim started dating that summer and have been a couple ever since then. On September 2nd of 1961 Janet and Tim were married making her Mrs. Janet Cobillas. Tim loved having her on his arm wherever he went and was proud to be her husband. Janet meant everything to him. Shortly after he was blessed with 1st daughter Tammy, and later with 2nd daughter Cynthia, 1st son Timothy, and 2nd son Mark. Talk about a house full! Tammy with husband Ronnie, Tim’s grandsons Jamie and Joey, and granddaughter Kaitlyn Cindy with husband Keith, Tim’s granddaughter Brittany, and grandson Randy with wife Jessica, and Tim’s great grandson Landon and great granddaughter Kylie Tim with wife Kristy Mark with wife Melissa, with Tim’s grandson Christopher When he became a grandfather he was one happy man! He and Janet was there when each one was born. They always brought a smile to his face. He loved looking at pictures of them and visiting with them when they were in town. To them he will always be known as their Pawpaw. He loved his family dearly and everything he did was done with his family in mind. He worked very hard and made sure his family was taken care of even until he passed away. Tim worked at McDonnell Douglas for most of his life and retired shortly after it became Boeing. He had great faith and love in the Lord. He loved teaching Sunday school alongside Janet and occasionally preaching. He loved fellowship with the church family and was well respected. His church family through the years have many memories, and can share many stories about him. Janet and Tim spent most of their life at their home at 4435 North Hanley in Berkeley. Tim and Janet later moved to their home in Florissant where they have lived for the past 18 years. He remained extremely close to family throughout her entire life. When we think of Tim, we will also keep in mind how much he adored his wife and children. His relationship with the Lord and his relationships at home were the most important aspects of his life Tim truly was a success and has left behind a great family and many great friends that can testify to that. He will be truly missed, but we all take heart that he is in the loving arms of his dear Lord.
