Leonard Alan Perry

Leonard Perry, 68 of St. Louis. was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 10, 1954. He attended the West Side Missionary Baptist Church, along with his parents, siblings, and other family members. Leonard’s spiritual path led him to the Mount Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He utilized his love for the guitar by playing in the church band. Pastor Fraction speaks admirably about Leonard’s contribution to Mount Chapel’s music ministry. Leonard was a graduate of Beaumont High School, class of 1971, Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. Leonard was inducted into the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity in 1973, He transferred to Oberlin College - Oberlin, Ohio, in 1975 he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. At Washington University he received a Master of Science in Education. His career pursuits included a Stock Broker, Real Estate Agent, Classroom Instructor and an Entrepreneur. Leonard was employed by the St. Louis Public Schools for over 30 years until his retirement. Leonard leaves to cherish his legacy: longtime wife and partner, Vida Paul-Perry; Daughters, Brittney Perry (Eric) and Tiffany Paul; Son, Leonard Perry, Jr.; grandsons, Blaise Clark, Leonard Perry III, Jahsiah Perry; Stepsister, Jean Daniels; Mother in-law, Thelma Paul: Sisters in-Law, Jackie Watkins and Deidre Perry ; Niece Sidney Watson (Harold), Nephew, Raoul Watkins (Jessica) and a host of, cousins, extended family, and friends.
