Nathaniel Jason Adams Harvey II

Nathaniel J.A. Harvey II, Age 58 of University City, MO. Nathaniel (Nate) was born on August 15, 1954, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Daniel and Ora Mae Harvey. At an early age Nate moved with his family to St. Louis, Missouri, where he was educated in the St. Louis Public School system. After graduating from Soldan High School, Nathaniel attended the University of Northern Colorado on a football scholarship. Not only was Nate an athlete, but he enjoyed music and playing his trumpet. Nate was an active member of Omega Psi Phi and maintained many of those friendships throughout his life. Nate committed his life to God at an early age. He was an active member of New City Fellowship for over 20 years, where he blessed everyone with his God-given musical talent. Nate’s greatest gifts, however, were not the ones he shared in the spotlight, but the ones he quietly and warmly gave in private. With helping hands, encouraging words and timely humor, Nate touched our lives in many positive ways. When he walked into a room, Nate lit it up with his smile and friendly personality. While attending the University of Northern Colorado, Nate met and married Gerri Bradshaw. They had two wonderful children, Nathaniel J. A. Harvey III and Kim E. Harvey. Nate later moved back to St. Louis and met and married Jo Hamilton, who remained at his side until God called him home. Nate and Jo had two children, Alexis J. Harvey and Jordan C. R. Harvey. All of his family have beautiful memories of Nate. He also leaves to cherish his memories two grandchildren, Don’Teice and Lyniece; two brothers, Daniel Jr. (Pamela) and Robert (Regina); three sisters, Zelma, Beatrice of Memphis, Tennessee, and Sonja; two aunts, Louise of Memphis, Tennessee, and Mary of Nashville, Tennessee; and his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Nate was Senior Information Systems Manager at AT&T for the last 12 years. He loved his job and was grateful to be able to pray each morning with his coworkers, who became close friends. Nathaniel was preceded in death by his loving parents Daniel and Ora Mae; two sisters, Dorothy and Hannah; one brother, William; one niece, Rhonda (“Niecey”) and four nephews, Ronald (“Squeaky”), Terrance (“Fat”), Onoriode (“Nookey”) and Robert (“Lil Bobby”).
