Kenneth G. McGhee - Funeral Director in Charge. Son of Archway Funeral Home founder, the late Tyrus A. and Shirley McGhee. Ken is a 2nd Generation and 36 years licensed funeral director. Also, a two term Missouri State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Director Member and two time Chairman of Missouri State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors and 6 year Chairman over the Missouri State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors Pre-Arranged Funeral Committee. He was the youngest Funeral Home Owner Operator in the Country at the age of 18 years old in 1985. A Member of the National Funeral Directors Association.
Education: Hazelwood School District: McNair Elementary and Hazelwood West High School. St. Louis Community College Forest Park School of Mortuary Science. Served in the United States Air Force. Current Member of the Missouri State Board of Private Investigators and Private Fire Investigator Examiners; Past Board Member of the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce and Member of Northwest Chamber of Commerce, Ferguson Lions, Albert Holman Lodge #179. Member of the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation. A Farmer and Member of the Pilot Grove Farm Co-op. Ken is also a Missouri Licensed Insurance Producer. In 1954 Randy Singer was born in Chillicothe, Missouri, and graduated from High School there in 1973. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1977. In 1982 he returned to Chillicothe as a Licensed Funeral Director to work in the family-owned funeral home, and also where he served as President of Rotary [and a Paul Harris Fellow], President of The Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the 150th Sesquicentennial Celebration, member of the Missouri State Board of the American Cancer Society, the Chillicothe Fine Arts Council and the Peter Pan Board for Handicapped Adults and Children. At Mizzou he was a member of the University Singers and later served as President of the Thomas L. Mills/University Singers Foundation.
From 1993 to 2001 he served in the Carnahan Administration[s] as Director of the Division of Professional Registration [which licenses all Missouri professionals including Doctors, Nurses, Architects, Engineers, Funeral Directors, Cemeteries, etc]. After Governor Carnahan died in the plane crash, he returned to funeral directing in St Louis joining Archway in 2023, and is in his 42nd year of funeral service. He enjoys musicals and plays on Broadway, the Fox, and the Muny with his embalmer/funeral director wife, Cindy [who is also a Registered Nurse at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital].
